There is also the opportunity to play along the route of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool 5k on Saturday 23 October. The running series is open to all musical styles but generally we’d prefer upbeat, catchy music that the runners may know or have heard before that might even get some of the participants dancing along as they run! For past races we’ve had a mix of singer-songwriters, rock bands, choirs, dancers, drumming groups and ukulele bands so whatever your act is, we want to hear from you! Organisers say: “We’re looking for a broad and exciting mix of music and performance that will entertain the runners and keep them motivated throughout the race. It’s not just the runners who you’ll be entertaining, but the families, friends and spectators who line the streets to cheer them on. With performances and music at every mile of all distances, offering a great opportunity for your music to be heard by tens of thousands of people. And organisers are on the lookout for amazing local acts to perform along the entire 26.2 mile route. On 24 October 2021 tens of thousands of runners will take to the streets of the city for the much-anticipated return of the music-centric running event. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Running Series is fast approaching and if you are a musician or in a band you’ve got less than two weeks to apply to perform, so don’t miss out! Get your application in by midnight on Sunday 22 August 2021.
